Iris Bohnet is the Albert Pratt Professor of Business and Government and the co-director of the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School. She is a behavioral economist and the author of the award-winning book What Works: Gender Equality by Design.
Iris advises companies and governments on gender equity around the world. She was appointed as an advisor to the UN’s Gender Equality Acceleration Plan in 2024, to the Gender Equality Advisory Council of the G7 in 2021, and was named one of the Most Influential Academics in Government and one of the most Influential People in Gender Policy by apolitical. She regularly speaks on gender equity, including at the World Economic Forum meetings, the Aspen Institute, the New York Times New Rules Summit, the Financial Times Women at the Top conference, and Grace Hopper.
Iris’s work has been featured in media outlets worldwide, including the Atlantic, the BBC, CNN, Bloomberg News, The Economist, Financial Times, Harvard Business Review, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post. Her academic work has been published in the top-ranked peer-reviewed journals of her profession.
Iris received her doctorate in Economics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, and has received several awards and honorary degrees. She and her family live in Newton, MA.
Siri Chilazi is a senior researcher at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School and an internationally recognized expert in advancing women and promoting gender equity in organizations.
As an academic researcher, Siri specializes in identifying practical approaches to close gender gaps at work by de-biasing structures and designing fairer processes. As an advisor and speaker, she collaborates with organizations including start-ups, large multinational companies, top professional services firms, governments, non-profits, and academic institutions to advance gender equity through evidence-based insights.
Siri’s work regularly appears in leading media outlets including the BBC, Fast Company, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and New York Times. She has spoken on gender equity at hundreds of large events including the American College of Surgeons annual meeting, the Women’s Forum Global Meeting, and the DEI Innovation Summit.
Siri has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard College. In addition to her academic career, she is an award-winning fitness instructor, presenter, and educator. Siri is married and lives in Boston, MA.
